Hometainer Corporation a division of F and B Corporation, has associated with The National Organization for American Humanities a 501 (c)(3) Nonprofit Trust, for the purposes of building prefabricated, ecologically sound buildings;

HomeTainer™ Corporation will be focusing on builfing prefabricated, ecologically sound buildings using recycled shipping containers. We believe building with recycled material is an “intelligent building system”. Our main component is used metal shipping containers. All HomeTainer™ buildings are wholly or partially constructed from ISO shipping containers.

Container House:
The HomeTainer™ Corporation container house offers an alternative to the conventional house. It has all normal functions of a home - living, dining, cooking, washing and sleeping. Depending on how many containers you use and the design layout, the only difference may be that these functions take place in a smaller space and the spaces can be changed to suit the function. If the container house is one of the smaller versions, the use of multi-purpose furniture which is designed as part of the componentry for the container home because the use of space is highly user-defined.

One advantage of the container house is the ability of the container module to form an unlimited number of layouts. Imagine children’s building blocks and the large number of possible layouts they offer. Your only consideration in layout is the restrictions that apply from your local planning regulations.

In addition to this, the container home maintains its transportability in the same way that a shipping container is transportable in its original form. Therefore, "moving" literally means moving your house.

Self Sufficient Container Home:
The self sufficient container home version by "HomeTainer™ Corporation" is for the adventurous people at heart. These units can be deployed anywhere, worldwide. To achieve true self-sufficiency, the self sufficient container works in harmony with various other components such as the collection and storage of its own water, wind generators and photovoltaic panels for generating electricity and state-of-the-art battery systems to store electricity, propane or natural gas storage for cooking and lighting the unit, solar heat collectors for heating water, storage tanks for grey water and a self-composting toilet.

Subterrainian or Earth Shelter Container Home:
The subterrainian or earth shelter container home version by "HomeTainer™ Corporation" is for those applications of higher than normal heat such as the deserts, higher than normal winds such as the coastal regions and anywhere that you need a secure home environment.

Elevated Container Home:
The elevated container home version by "HomeTainer™ Corporation" is for those applications where flooding is or may be a problem or if you are building in a special flood-hazard zone. Piling type and styles are chose on individual applications.

Affordable Housing Container Home:
The low income or affordable housing market can best be served using container homes The version by "HomeTainer™ Corporation" is for those applications where cost and safety are most important.

Container Cpartments:
The container apartments by "HomeTainer™ Corporation" provide unique or contemporary living spaces for 1-3 people. Each container module is designed to "plug-in" to the overall apartment structure which has a service core and access. This type of multi-family structure is a modular design which can be replicated and assembled anywhere, worldwide. Each container apartment can be stacked up to 5 containers high.

The most economical layouts are restricted to two rows, with a center isle, 2 containers high connected together. This simple design is based on economy, modularity and serviceability. The construction of prefabricated steel parts ensures that the structure can be erected quickly before the container modules are deployed and the container modules can be transported to a new location and "plugged-in" to the new structure.
